Data Forge – Test Data & Autofill

Overview
Generate reusable test data, map it to web forms, and autofill safely.
Data Forge is a local-first browser extension for generating synthetic test data, scanning supported web forms, creating reusable field mappings, and safely auto filling test values. It is designed for developers, QA engineers, and software testers who need repeatable test data without relying on external services. Key Features 1. Configurable Test Data Generation - Choose from 58 configurable generators. - Generate names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, dates, times, numbers, URLs, identifiers, and other structured test values. - Configure supported ranges, lengths, precision, formats, blank percentages, and validation constraints. - Use advanced generators including Custom Lists, weighted choices, sequences, supported regular-expression patterns, templates, formulas, and array values. - Preview generated values before saving field settings. 2. Form Scanning and Review - Scan supported fields on normal HTTP and HTTPS webpages. - Review detected fields before creating or changing mappings. - Inspect detected field types, options, and validation constraints. - Exclude passwords, hidden fields, disabled or read-only controls, file uploads, and other protected or unsupported inputs. 3. Reusable Field Mapping - Map Data Forge fields to supported webpage controls. - Reuse saved mappings for the same website and form. - Review ambiguous, duplicate, or changed controls before updating mappings. - Configure supported dropdown, checkbox, radio-button, multi-select, and dual-listbox behavior. 4. Safe Form Autofill - Generate and fill supported webpage fields. - Reuse frozen values across repeated fills. - Support common text, numeric, date/time, dropdown, radio, checkbox, and selected multi-value controls. - Verify whether the target control retained the requested value. - Data Forge never automatically saves or submits a form. 5. Projects and Reusable Schemas - Organize test fields into projects and optional groups. - Configure generators, constraints, mappings, and current values independently for each project. - Import and export project configurations. - Preserve generated values until explicit regeneration. 6. Bulk CSV and ZIP Export - Generate bulk synthetic datasets. - Export a selected project scope as CSV. - Export multiple nonempty groups together as a ZIP file. - Generate up to 300,000 rows per scope within the supported limits. - Cancel long-running exports without changing frozen project values. 7. Local-First Operation - Test-data generation runs locally in the browser. - Projects, mappings, settings, and generated values are stored in browser extension storage. - No account registration is required. - No backend service, telemetry, remote AI API, or paid data service is required. - Website access is requested only when you start a scan, mapping, option-discovery, or autofill action for that site. How to Use Data Forge 1. Open Data Forge from the browser toolbar. 2. Create a project and configure your test-data fields. 3. Open a normal webpage containing a form. 4. Scan and review supported fields. 5. Save the required mappings. 6. Generate a frozen test-value set. 7. Autofill the mapped fields. 8. Export additional datasets to CSV or ZIP when needed. Important Information Data Forge never automatically submits forms or creates records. Some custom, dynamic, inaccessible, or framework-specific controls may require additional configuration or may be reported as unsupported. All generated data is synthetic and intended for testing. Generated addresses, phone numbers, URLs, and identity-like values should not be treated as verified real-world information. Data Forge reduces repetitive test-data preparation and manual form entry while keeping every scan, mapping, generation, and autofill action under the user’s control.
