Overview

A game for any website: the page turns 3D and your sticky ball eats it, word by word, until it swallows the whole thing.

Gobble is a game you play on the website you're already on. Click Gobble on any page and it lifts off the screen into a tiny 3D world: every word, button and picture standing up on the page. You get a sticky ball the size of a word. Roll over things smaller than you and they stick. Grow, and eat bigger things: buttons, pictures, whole panels, and in the end the page itself. • Every page is a level, made from what's on it. Words first, the cookie banner later. • Pages with cards and panels start up on the top floor: eat on every island, cross the paper bridges (mind the edges), and the whole floor sinks. • Your ball turns into a papier-mâché of everything it ate. • Eat the logo: every site's logo floats on a gold stand, worth five more seconds, and it goes on your shelf of every logo you've eaten. • The web's own things: the headline goes down in one bite, ads give you time, and Gobble keeps the bill for every price you eat. • Bosses: cookie walls, newsletter pop-ups and chat bubbles. Get big enough and they run for it: corner them, and they're gone, in slow motion. • Coffee spills, pools ripple, and some pages catch fire: race the flames, dash through them to go faster (roll through slowly and they burn your ball), or put them out wet. • Pop-ups come after you: "Accept all cookies?", "Subscribe!", "You won a prize!". They knock things off your ball, until you're big enough to eat them. • Clear a page and your ball rolls off it for dessert: the mug, the pencils, the rubber duck. • One clock for the whole run: clear a page (eat nearly all of it) for more time and a medal against a bot that played the same page. Dash (but crash into a wall and things fly off), chain combos for extra seconds, and if the clock runs out mid-combo, it's overtime. • Roll on: into your next tab, or into a link you ate. How many pages can you clear? (It never rolls into mail, banking, sign-in or pinned tabs, and N skips any tab.) • Every tab is a clip: save it as a video with sound, wide or upright (9:16) for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Or copy your result, to paste anywhere. The real page is never touched. Gobble rolls up a picture of it, and Esc brings it back. Private by design: no accounts, no analytics, no servers. Your best stays on your computer and clips are made on your computer. Controls: steer with the mouse (or the arrow keys / WASD), hold the button (or Space) to dash, P to pause, Enter to roll on, N to skip a tab, S or V to save the clip, C to copy your result, B for the camera, R to restart, M to mute, Esc to exit.
