If you really want to use Ecosia but miss Google, now you can get the best of both worlds. Plant a tree with Ecosia on the way to your Google search results. Install the Go extension and type "Go" into your address bar followed by a space and then your search term and your search will go to Ecosia until it has been registered for a tree to be planted and then your search will be rerouted to Google. Or just select the term you want to search and right-click on it and hit "Go".
