This extension provides integration with GNOME Shell and the corresponding extensions repository https://extensions.gnome.org

You MUST install native connector for this extension to work. For Arch Linux, Debian, Fedora, Gentoo and Ubuntu you can install package named "chrome-gnome-shell". You also can install connector manually. See https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeShellIntegrationForChrome/Installation for install instructions.

Für Ubuntu 23.04 and newer: Terminal: $ sudo apt-get install gnome-browser-connector The warning / error message disappears and Gnome extensions could be managed from Chrome.

Used to be amazing but now no longer does anything. I expect someone upstream has badly borked gnome on ubuntu, no extensions work, can't install new ones, can't configure existing ones.
