GNKG turns every Gemini Notebook into a small knowledge graph that your AI agents can read, extend and order around. It also survives its own browser trying to shut it down mid-sentence. WHAT GNKG DOES GNKG connects Gemini Notebook to the AI tools you already use. Your agents can list notebooks, add sources, ask grounded questions, generate Studio artifacts and map everything as a graph, all from your own signed-in browser. - Ask grounded questions from your agents. Every ask is queued as a job and returns right away. Your agent polls for the answer, so long, detailed answers don't time out. - Survives interruptions. If the connection drops or Chrome restarts the extension mid-answer, GNKG recovers the answer from the notebook, or asks once more if nothing was saved. Every answer says where it came from, so your agent can tell a complete answer from a partial one. - Many agents, many notebooks. Several agents can share one notebook without stepping on each other: asks to the same notebook take turns, and asks to different notebooks run at the same time. A repeated request reuses the job already running instead of starting a duplicate. - Push whole projects with B.I.F.R.O.S.T. Weighted word counts (code counts heavier than prose), large files split at natural boundaries, and bins packed first-fit-decreasing up to 450,000 words. Bin 0 is a master index of everything, and each bin is added as a source and checked until it's ready. - Generate Studio artifacts remotely: audio overviews, video, reports, slide decks, infographics, data tables, mind maps, flashcards and quizzes. GNKG can wait for them to finish and download the results. - See your notebook as a graph. A 3D knowledge-graph viewer shows notebooks, sources, bins, files and artifacts and how they connect, with search and path-finding. Export it as JSON or Mermaid. - Read sources as text. HOW YOUR AGENTS CONNECT GNKG has two parts: this Chrome extension, and a small bridge that runs on your own computer (installed with npm). - MCP over stdio for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf and Codex. - MCP over HTTP, plus an OpenAPI file and llms.txt, for agents that live elsewhere. - A plain JSON API, one request per tool, for scripts and automations. - 23 tools, from listing notebooks to pushing bins. You can also work by hand: the side panel and the web console show your notebooks and sources side by side, run the pump, and open the graph. PRIVACY AND SECURITY - GNKG runs in your own signed-in browser and talks to Gemini Notebook the way its own web page does. GNKG never sees or stores your Google password. - The bridge listens only on your own computer by default. Opening it to your local network requires a token you set. - The bridge accepts connections only from the GNKG extension, so other web pages can't take over its connection. - Downloads only ever go to https addresses. - No analytics, no telemetry and no third-party trackers. The GNKG website serves its own fonts. - Permissions are kept to what GNKG uses. Each one is explained on the privacy page. GOOD TO KNOW - You need a Google account with Gemini Notebook, and Chrome 116 or newer. - The agent features need the GNKG bridge running on your computer (Node.js). - GNKG uses the same calls Gemini Notebook's own web page makes. Google hasn't documented them, so they can change. GNKG checks for changes and has a fallback that reads the open notebook page. - Text extraction (OCR) from image and PDF sources that have no indexed text is not supported in this version. - A re-asked answer is a fresh answer from the same sources, not a replay of the interrupted one.
