Overview

Record a real browser session and get Playwright tests that reuse your repo's page objects, fixtures and code style.

Record what you do in the browser and get Playwright tests that look like your team wrote them. Most recorders give you a flat script you have to rewrite. This one reads your test repo – page objects, fixtures, helpers and guidelines – and turns a recording into framework code that reuses them. RECORD • Clicks, typing, selects, checks, key presses, uploads, navigation, popups and iframes • Exact, stable locators: getByRole('button', { name: 'Add', exact: true }), each checked on the live page • Assertions with one click, a right-click menu for any element, and suggested checks for what changed (messages, dialogs, tables, headings) • Element checks for state, text, attributes, accessibility (axe) and styles • Record as a phone or tablet • Pause, edit, reorder and delete steps as you go FRAMEWORK-AWARE CODE (bring your own AI key) • Connect your test repo folder; page objects, fixtures and helpers are indexed locally • Pick related files to guide the code, or let the extension suggest them • Generated code is type-checked and linted, and its locators are checked on the live page • Review every file side by side, then write accepted changes into your repo • Works with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, or a local model (Ollama, LM Studio) RE-RUN AND WATCH • Re-run any session in a new tab and watch each step pass or fail • Skip a stuck step, stop a run, or open a session while a run is going • On failure: a screenshot, the page, the error and a Playwright trace • Catches console errors, uncaught errors and failing API calls under the step that caused them • Copy a ready-to-file bug report: steps to reproduce, expected vs actual, and what the page reported • Group sessions into features, run them in order, and schedule runs with desktop notifications PRIVACY BUILT IN • Passwords, one-time codes and card details are masked and become environment variables • Emails, phone numbers and your own patterns are redacted before anything is sent to AI • See exactly what is sent, and confirm before the first send • Record only on the domains you allow YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU No account. No analytics or telemetry. Sessions, traces and settings are stored in your browser. The only network calls go to the AI provider you choose, and only when you convert. Secrets you choose to remember for longer are kept encrypted on your computer. The raw Playwright code is always available, with no AI key and no repo. About Chrome's "started debugging this browser" banner: Chrome shows it for every extension that records or replays through its debugger. Only the tab you record (and popups it opens) is attached. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft or the Playwright project.
