Overview
Record tab video, console logs, and network requests for debugging
GN Tracing records one browser tab and packages the evidence engineers need into a shareable debugging replay. Capture in one session: • Tab video and audio • Console logs and runtime errors • Network requests and responses • WebSocket activity • Optional storage and DOM snapshots (opt-in in Settings) After you stop recording, GN Tracing can upload a zip package to your Google Drive and open a replay link on https://tracing.gnas.dev/ so teammates can review video together with console, network, and WebSocket data. Privacy controls: • Sensitive headers are redacted by default • Request bodies, response bodies, and WebSocket payloads can be toggled before recording • Storage/DOM capture defaults to off • Optional zip password protection for uploaded packages How to use: 1. Open the tab you want to record 2. Open the GN Tracing popup 3. Connect Google Drive when you want automatic upload 4. Click Start Recording, reproduce the issue, then Stop Recording 5. Open or share the replay link Permissions are used only for the active recording flow and Drive upload. The extension does not run continuous background browsing surveillance.
