)Overview
Lets the Wingtip app read and act in your browser tabs while you watch and approve. The side panel shows its status.
Synthreo Wingtip connects your browser to your organization's Wingtip app, so Wingtip can read and act in your own tabs while you watch. You talk to Wingtip in the Wingtip app. When a conversation there needs your browser, choose Use my browser, and Wingtip works in your Chrome: it can read a page, list your open tabs, open and switch tabs, click, type, choose options, fill in a form, scroll and navigate, and you watch every step happen. Every tab Wingtip uses joins a tab group named "Wingtip", and while a step runs in a tab the page is framed and shows a Stop button. The extension's side panel is where you sign in, turn Wingtip on or off in this browser, and see whether the Wingtip app is using it. Its Open Wingtip button takes you to the app. You do not chat in the side panel; the conversation is in the Wingtip app. You stay in control: - Before Wingtip acts on a site you have not allowed yet (clicking, typing or choosing an option), it asks you in the Wingtip app conversation: allow once, always allow that site, or don't allow. Opening or going to a page does not ask; acting on that page does. - Filling in a whole form, closing a tab and answering a page's dialog always ask you first. So do submitting a form, pressing Enter in a form, and anything that looks like a purchase, even on a site you already allowed. - Wingtip never reads or fills password fields, one-time codes or payment card fields. - Stop on the page, or turning Wingtip off in the side panel, ends its use of your browser at once. - Your organization's administrators can block sites for everyone in the organization, and can turn Wingtip in the browser off for everyone. Wingtip in the browser requires a Synthreo account. Your organization's administrator turns the browser assistant on for your organization, and you turn it on for yourself in the side panel. Sign-in uses your existing Synthreo sign-in; the extension keeps your session in memory only. What leaves your browser: when a Wingtip app conversation uses your browser, the content Wingtip reads to do what you asked (page text, the structure of the page's controls, a screenshot when it takes one, and the addresses and titles of your open tabs when it lists them) is sent to Synthreo's service. Wingtip reads a page only while working on something you asked for in the Wingtip app.
