Readpane is an ebook reader, EPUB viewer and offline book reader with full-text search, continuous vertical scroll, real bookmarks and a complete dark mode. It works offline, with no ads and no tracking. 😤 The problem Many EPUB readers for Chrome have no search, bookmarks that don't work, no vertical scroll, and a dark mode that leaves a bright scrollbar. Large books fail to open, changing the font size loses your place, some show ads, and opening a file is often a puzzle. ✅ What Readpane does • Full-text search across the whole book, with snippets and jump-to-match: an epub reader with search that finds the passage again • Continuous vertical scroll or page mode: read like a web page, or turn pages like a book • Keeps your place: change the font, resize the window or restart Chrome and you are back on the same line • Real bookmarks: add, list, jump and delete, and they are still there tomorrow • Opens big books: a book with 1,000+ chapters opens and navigates • Complete dark mode, including the scrollbar, selection colour and images. It follows your system theme • Right-click a link to an EPUB and choose "Open in Readpane" to read it straight from the web • Open a book with no setup: drag and drop a file onto the page, or click "Open book".
