Repository Groups for GitHub

Overview
Collapsible groups on your GitHub Repositories tab. Kept in your browser and synced by Chrome; nothing is written to GitHub.
GitHub has no way to group your repositories. Once you have more than a handful, the Repositories tab becomes a wall of names. Repository Groups for GitHub adds collapsible groups to that tab, GitLab-group style. Create a group, move repositories into it, and collapse what you are not working on. Everything not in a group stays under "Ungrouped". A Grouped / Original switch brings GitHub's own list back at any time. Built to be safe to use: - Nothing is written to GitHub. The extension only reads your repository list. - Your groups are kept in your browser, in Chrome's sync storage. With Chrome sync on they follow you to your other computers, like bookmarks. Export and import are there for backups. - The repository list comes from GitHub's documented API rather than from the page, so a GitHub redesign does not break it. GitHub's own Find, Type, Language and Sort controls keep working on the grouped view. - No servers of our own, no analytics, no tracking. The one setup step: GitHub lets an app list your private repositories only after you install it on them. Sign in with GitHub (a short code, no token to create) and install the "Repository Groups" app. It asks for read-only repository metadata and nothing else; it cannot read your code or change anything. To stop using it, the settings page explains how to delete your groups, sign out and uninstall the app on GitHub, so nothing is left behind. Works on your profile's Repositories tab, and on organization repository pages where the app is installed. Open source (MIT): https://github.com/hash7ff/github-repository-groups
