Overview

Regex-powered Gmail search — filter visible emails or search your entire inbox via Gmail API.

Gmail Regex Search brings the power of regular expressions to your Gmail inbox. Most email search tools only support keywords. This extension lets you write real regex patterns — so you can find exactly what you're looking for, whether it's a specific format, a fuzzy match, or something buried in thousands of emails. Two search modes: Live filter — instantly hides/shows emails on the current Gmail page as you type, with no API calls Full inbox search — scans your entire inbox via the Gmail API and returns clickable results, even for emails not currently visible Three pattern fields: Subject Snippet (email preview) Anywhere (matches subject, sender, or snippet) All fields accept standard JavaScript regular expressions. Use them independently or combine them for precise filtering. Privacy-first: Your credentials never leave your browser. You upload your own Google OAuth credentials (a one-time setup), and all API calls go directly from your browser to Google — no third-party servers involved. Setup required: You'll need a Google Cloud project with the Gmail API enabled and a Web Application OAuth 2.0 client ID. Full instructions are included.
