GMail Hilite makes your inbox scannable at a glance by highlighting rows with background and text colors based on rules you define. ────────────────────────────────────── HOW IT WORKS ────────────────────────────────────── Every email row in your inbox is evaluated against a priority list of rules you configure. The first rule that matches determines the row's color. Drag rules up or down to change priority — no settings to memorize, just a visual list. ────────────────────────────────────── HIGHLIGHT CONDITIONS ────────────────────────────────────── ★ Star type — assign a different color to each Gmail star (yellow star, blue star, red bang, orange guillemet, green check, and more) ● Unread — highlight unread emails so they stand out immediately 🏷 Gmail label — color-code rows by any label in your inbox ✉ Sender domain or email — highlight emails from specific senders or domains ────────────────────────────────────── CUSTOMIZATION ────────────────────────────────────── • Background color per rule • Text color per rule — essential for dark mode where light backgrounds make text hard to read • Enable or disable any rule without deleting it • Drag to reorder — list order is priority order, first match wins • Changes take effect instantly, no page reload needed ────────────────────────────────────── PRIVACY ────────────────────────────────────── GMail Hilite reads only what it needs to apply highlights (starred status, labels, sender address).
