Gmail External Recipient Warning

Warns you in Gmail when a recipient is outside your trusted domains - even if they are already in your contacts.

Gmail warns you about external recipients only when they are not in your contacts. That leaves the most dangerous case uncovered: the outside person you have emailed before, whose name sits right next to a colleague's in auto-complete. This extension checks the To, Cc and Bcc fields as you type and shows a bar at the top of the compose window naming any recipient outside the domains you trust. - Works even when the recipient is already in your contacts - Highlights look-alike domains in red (yourcompanyy.com vs yourcompany.com) - Highlights an outside address sharing a first name with an internal recipient - Checks To, Cc and Bcc, in new messages, replies and forwards - Trust whole domains, or single addresses at an otherwise external domain - An on/off switch, and no setup beyond entering your domain It never blocks sending. There is no pop-up and no confirmation step - the extension only displays a bar, and it does not interact with the Send button at all. Your settings stay in your browser. The extension does not collect, transmit or store the contents of your email.
