Overview

Turn the web into a conversation. Highlight any text and join the public discussion.

Turn the web into a conversation. Glyphic adds a focused discussion layer to the pages you already read. Highlight a sentence to leave a private note or start a public discussion, reply where the evidence lives, and continue deeper research in the full Glyphic website without losing the original context. Use Glyphic to: - Highlight and discuss passages directly on webpages. - Ask questions, reply, react, and vote in contextual public discussions. - Keep private notes attached to their exact source text. - Use a lightweight Home view for recommendations and activity on the current page. - Show or hide page highlights and control the page indicator from extension settings. - Open the matching website destination for notebooks, library, Atlas, Spaces, profiles, notifications, and full account settings. - Keep an optional browsable Vault copy in a folder you choose on this computer. - Sign in with email or Google and sync supported data across your devices. - Export a complete backup whenever you need a portable copy. Glyphic is local-first. The page text needed to place highlights is read in your browser. Glyphic does not build or upload a browsing-history log. Data boundaries are explicit: - Public when you post or participate: public annotations, comments, reactions, votes, profile fields, follows, Space memberships/images, and discussion placement are sent to Glyphic so other readers can see them. Public comment text and attached GIF media are checked by OpenAI for safety before publication; GIF search and provider media use KLIPY. - Private to your account: private annotations, notebooks, references, collections, library state, and private workspace images can sync to your signed-in account. Blocks, reports, notification preferences, and read state are also account-private. Account/security and opted-in social email may use a server-side transactional email provider. Email signup and password recovery may use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse; that challenge is not loaded during ordinary browsing. This data is access-controlled but not end-to-end encrypted. - Device-only: interface preferences, local version history, onboarding progress, ranking activity, and celebration state stay in that browser. Vault folder access stays on the computer where it was granted. You can browse without posting, turn page highlights off, export your data, or remove local content from the extension settings. Private comments and notebook/workspace content are not sent to OpenAI or KLIPY.
