Follow the story without pausing, and pick up the language in context as you watch. • Dual subtitles: the original and the translation together, or the translation alone • Free translation: the translator built into Chrome, on your computer, for about 40 languages. Subtitles stay on your device. • AI translation: dialogue-aware AI that keeps tone, names and context across lines, natural in every language • Look up any word: click it in the original line to see its translation, free; AI explains what it means in that line, its dictionary form and reading • Official subtitles first: when Netflix or YouTube already has subtitles in your language, GlossCue shows those, free and without an account • 25 target languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French and German • Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+T turns translation on and off, Alt+Shift+M switches the display mode • Works only with the subtitles the player already provides. GlossCue does not download, record or redistribute videos, and does not bypass DRM, paywalls or region locks. You need your own subscription to the streaming service. Free translation needs a GlossCue account (sign in with Google from the extension's popup). AI translation needs a GlossCue subscription (monthly or yearly); your first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Privacy: free translation runs in Chrome and sends no subtitles. With AI translation, subtitle text is sent to GlossCue's servers to be translated, and translations are shared between viewers of the same subtitles without your account attached.
