Glossa — select to translate
Overview
Select text on any page and read the translation right where you are. No account, no tracking, 100 words at a time.
Glossa translates the text you select — right next to the selection, on the page you are already reading. How it works 1. Highlight up to 100 words on any page. 2. A small card appears with the translation. 3. The source language is detected automatically — you only choose the target language. 4. Press Esc or click elsewhere to dismiss. Why Glossa • No account, no sign-up, no paywall • No analytics, no telemetry, no ads • Free engine out of the box; optional DeepL key in Settings • Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Firefox • Open source (MIT): https://github.com/DzhIliyas/Glossa Permissions • storage — remember your language and settings • contextMenus — right-click → Translate selection • Host access only to the translation engines you use (Google Translate endpoint and optionally DeepL) Privacy policy: https://github.com/DzhIliyas/Glossa/blob/main/PRIVACY.md
