Overview
Override your browser timezone locally. No tracking, no external requests, and an optional allowlist or blocklist of sites.
Gloam Timezone Extension overrides the timezone your browser reports to websites—100% locally with zero tracking, zero external network requests, and no account required. Open-source under the GNU General Public License v3.0. Most timezone spoofers only patch single properties, making them easy to detect. Gloam synchronously updates both the zone name and the wall clock across Date, Intl, and Temporal APIs, extending the same rules into Web Workers. ✨ KEY FEATURES • 🛠️ Comprehensive API Patching: Modifies Date, Intl.DateTimeFormat, and modern Temporal APIs simultaneously so reported offsets and zone names match. • 🟢 Transparent Status Indicator: Toolbar dot shows the exact injection state per tab (Green = fully masked before page scripts ran, Amber = unverified race condition on fallback path, Red = unpatched worker or CSP block). • 🌐 Site Rules & Links Panel: Apply rules everywhere, only on an allowlist, or everywhere except a blocklist. The Links panel reveals every domain loaded by the tab via Resource Timing so you can set exact rules per host or domain. • 🎲 Flexible Timezone Selection: Pick any IANA timezone, type a custom offset, or set the extension to select a random timezone per tab. DST adjustments are calculated dynamically per timestamp. • 🛡️ Smart Bot Check Handling: Step-aside logic avoids endless reloads on Cloudflare or challenge pages by temporarily unmasking challenge frames without leaking the rest of your session. • 🎨 Themes: Gold (Light), Navy (Dark), or automatic system theme. 🔒 PRIVACY & TRANSPARENCY • 100% Open Source: Distributed under GPL v3.0 for complete auditability. • Zero Data Collection: Requires no permissions for network monitoring (`webRequest`), no telemetry, and zero remote communication. • Honest Limitations: Gloam overrides reported browser timezones. It does NOT alter your IP address, geolocation, or Accept-Language headers, nor is it designed to bypass bot protection systems. Requires enabling "Allow user scripts" in chrome://extensions for early-injection mode.
