Trunk Tools
Overview
Ask questions about your construction project documents from any browser tab.
Trunk Tools brings your construction project's documents into a chat panel that lives alongside whatever you're working on. Ask a question in plain language — "what's the required concrete strength for the foundation walls?", "has this submittal been approved?", "what changed in revision 3 of this drawing?" — and get an answer drawn from your project's drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs, with citations back to the documents the answer came from. How it works Sign in with your Trunk Tools account and pick a project. The side panel stays with you as you move between tabs, so you can keep a conversation going while you work. Use the page you're on If you're looking at a document in your project management system, you can share that page with the assistant so its answers take it into account. You can share the page's text, or snip a specific region of the screen to ask about a detail in a drawing. This is off until you turn it on, and the extension asks for permission to read page content at that point rather than at install. What you see is what you're allowed to see Answers are scoped to the projects your Trunk Tools account has access to. The extension doesn't widen your permissions, and it doesn't track your browsing. A Trunk Tools account is required.
