Overview

Lets web pages sign document hashes with certificates on USB tokens and smartcards, through a local native host.

DocSigner lets a website sign PDF documents using your DSC token — the USB device issued by a licensed Certifying Authority. Your private key never leaves the token. The page sends only a hash to be signed; the signing happens on the device itself, and the extension passes the result back. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Requires the DocSigner host application, a small program you install on your computer that talks to the token driver. Download it from https://github.com/resilient-tech/docsigner/releases How it works: 1. Install the host application for your operating system 2. Open a site that supports DocSigner and choose to sign 3. Pick your certificate and enter your token PIN 4. The signed PDF is produced in your browser Each website must be granted permission the first time it asks. You can revoke it at any time. Supports PAdES signatures, timestamping, and long-term validation profiles including CCA India.
