The moment someone walks up behind you or leans over your shoulder, every Chrome tab frosts over and mutes — before they can read a word. Click anywhere (or press Esc) and you're instantly back. 👀 SMART DETECTION, NO FALSE ALARMS • The camera watches only the peripheral zones of the frame (left, right, top) — where an approaching person appears. You, seated in the center, never trigger it. • A slow-adapting background baseline means lighting changes never cause a false alarm. • Where Chrome's built-in face detection is available, two faces in frame raise the shield instantly — even if the intruder stands perfectly still. 🧊 INSTANT, DISCREET SHIELD • Every tab is covered by a heavy frosted blur in ~100 ms. • Tabs are muted and playing media is paused (both optional). • The tab title flips to a neutral "New Tab" — no alarming red banners. The person behind you sees a boring screen, not a caught-you warning. ⌨️ ALWAYS-AVAILABLE PANIC BUTTON • ⌥⇧Space blurs / unblurs everything manually — works even with the guard off or no camera at all. • ⌥⇧G arms / disarms the guard. 🎚️ THREE SENSITIVITY LEVELS Chill, Balanced, or Paranoid — Paranoid fires on ~0.4 s of peripheral motion. 🔒 PROVABLY PRIVATE A camera extension only deserves your trust if privacy is verifiable: • 100% on-device — zero networking code (no fetch, XHR or WebSocket anywhere). • Frames are downscaled to a tiny 96×72 grayscale buffer and discarded immediately after comparison.
