Glance — Link Preview on Shift-Click (Hover-Style Peek)
Overview
Shift+click any link to preview it in a floating overlay — no new tab. Falls back to a popup window if a site blocks embedding.
Glance lets you preview any link in a floating window — without losing your place. Just Shift-click a link. A clean preview pops up over the page. Done reading? Press Esc, click outside, or click away — you're right back where you were, with your original tab untouched. No more opening ten tabs to check ten links. No more losing your scroll position. FEATURES • Shift-click to peek — preview any link in a floating card over the current page. • Stays out of your way — close instantly with Esc, a click on the backdrop, or by clicking another window. • Works on stubborn sites — if a site blocks embedding, Glance automatically opens the preview in a separate popup window instead, so the peek still works. • Your tab is never touched — your scroll position and open tabs stay exactly as they were. • Pick your trigger — prefer Alt-click or Ctrl/Cmd-click? Switch the modifier key in Options. • Size it your way — set the preview window's width and height in Options. PRIVACY Glance collects nothing. It stores only your own preferences (which key triggers a peek and your preferred window size) on your device. It never records the links you preview, never reads page content, and never sends anything off your browser. Made by Briskkit — a set of small, sharp browser tools.
