TagScope: GA4 & GTM Inspector
Overview
Opens any site and decodes its live GA4 and Google Tag Manager setup: tags, triggers, variables, settings and outgoing hits.
TagScope opens a side panel on any website and decodes its entire Google Tag Manager and GA4 setup. No IDs to type in, nothing to configure. WHAT YOU SEE - Overview: every GTM container found, how it was detected, and findings like paused tags or blocked hits - Tags: type, status, consent requirements, firing triggers, full configuration - Triggers: all rules rebuilt with conditions and linked tags - Variables: every variable with type, config and cross-references - GA4: live property settings including enhanced measurement, key events, cross-domain, created events - Hits: every GA4 request decoded in real time with event parameters and ecommerce data - Data layer: every dataLayer.push() and gtag() call as an expandable tree HOW IT WORKS TagScope intercepts GTM container files and GA4 hits using Chrome's webRequest API. A content script reads the page's dataLayer in real time. Container files are parsed as data, never executed. Works on Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc (Chromium 114+). Nothing is sent anywhere. All data stays in your browser and clears when the tab closes.
