Overview

Detects Twitch chat giveaways and enters them for you. Finds the keyword on its own, with push alerts when you win.

v1.0.3 changelog: -Bugfix Never miss a Twitch giveaway again. Giveaway Watcher watches chat for you. When enough different viewers type the same keyword, it knows a giveaway just started, and it either tells you or types it for you. NO DATA IS COLLECTED. NONE. No account. No sign in. No analytics. No tracking. No server belonging to this extension. Nothing about you is gathered, stored remotely or sold, and there is nothing to opt out of because there is nothing being collected in the first place. Chat is read inside the tab you already have open, counted in memory, and forgotten. Your settings stay in your own browser and are deleted when you uninstall. The only thing that ever leaves your browser is the phone notification, and only if you switch that on yourself. FINDS THE KEYWORD BY ITSELF You do not need to know what the channel uses. !win, #furballs, +join: it works them out from chat. The signal is simple: a lot of different people typing the same thing at once. It will not mistake chat noise for a giveaway. A candidate has to start with a command character (! # +), which emotes and reactions never do, and common channel commands like !discord and !lurk are filtered out. THREE MODES, YOU CHOOSE • Notify me: alerts you, never types anything. The safest option. • Enter automatically: types the keyword for you. • Dry run: behaves exactly like automatic, but sends nothing. For trying it out. BUILT TO NOT GET YOU BANNED • One message per giveaway, never twice in a row • A hard cap on entries per hour that you set yourself • A random 4-14 second delay, so you never answer on the millisecond • Stops completely if you are timed out or banned ALERTS THAT REACH YOU The tab title and favicon blink, a glowing border marks the page, and the browser window flashes in your taskbar. All optional. When a moderator tags you, which usually means you won, you can also get a push notification on your phone through ntfy.sh, which is free and needs no account. It cuts through do-not-disturb, so you will notice it even away from the computer. WORKS PER CHANNEL Keywords, threshold and entry limits are remembered per channel, so a big channel and a small one can each have settings that suit them. Your alert preferences follow you everywhere. LIGHT OR DARK The popup follows the theme your system or browser is already set to. There is no switch to find. WHAT IT CAN SEE It reads only the chat of the Twitch channel you have open, and only in tabs you opened yourself. It never sees any other site, it never sees your Twitch password or token, and it does not use the Twitch API. BEFORE YOU START Automatic entry sits in a grey area with Twitch's terms, and some channels disqualify or ban viewers who automate it. The extension is built as carefully as possible, but the risk is yours. Because of that, automatic entry is locked when you install. A page opens on first run explaining exactly what the risk is, and you have to accept it before that mode can be selected at all. Everything else, including "Notify me", works without accepting anything. If you would rather be safe, stay on "Notify me". It never touches chat. Giveaway watcher for Twitch is a browser extension and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Twitch.
