Overview
GitHub profile analyzer for tech recruiters. AI signals, dev skills & activity to evaluate and shortlist top developer candidates.
GitScout is a Chrome extension that helps recruiters quickly understand software engineers directly from their GitHub profiles. Instead of manually reviewing repositories, commits, and pull requests, GitScout surfaces structured engineering signals such as collaboration patterns, communication quality, project activity, and technical focus areas. It is designed for recruiters and non-technical hiring teams who want faster context when evaluating developers, without needing to interpret raw GitHub data themselves. GitScout also includes an embedded chat assistant directly on GitHub profiles, allowing users to ask natural questions about a candidate’s activity, contributions, and technical focus. This helps translate GitHub data into clear explanations in real time without leaving the page. Key features: Summarizes GitHub profiles into clear engineering signals Highlights collaboration and contribution history across repositories and organizations Identifies primary technical focus based on real activity Surfaces strengths, gaps, and uncertainty instead of raw metrics Chat assistant for instant, natural-language insights on any GitHub profile Helps recruiters quickly decide whether a candidate is worth deeper review GitScout does not replace technical interviews or make hiring decisions. It is a decision support tool that turns public GitHub activity into structured insights.
