Supports 80+ file types and 40+ named folders — so you can scan an entire file tree in seconds instead of reading every filename. ───────────────────────────────── ⚡ WEB IDE BUTTON ───────────────────────────────── Open any repository in an online IDE of your choice with a single click — including CodeSandbox, Replit, Gitpod, and StackBlitz. Your last-used IDE is remembered automatically. ───────────────────────────────── 📅 ABSOLUTE DATES ───────────────────────────────── GitHub shows "3 days ago" — GitRevamp shows the exact date and time (e.g. 12/03/25, 14:23) right next to it, everywhere on GitHub — commits, issues, PRs, comments, and more. ───────────────────────────────── 📁 FILE SIZES & DOWNLOAD ───────────────────────────────── File sizes appear directly in the repository tree. GitRevamp uses GitHub's own rendered HTML for the output — not raw markdown — so the printed result looks exactly as intended. ───────────────────────────────── 👥 BUS FACTOR WARNING ───────────────────────────────── Alerts you when a single contributor is responsible for more than 60% of a repository's commits. This is one of the most important long-term sustainability signals for any open-source dependency. ───────────────────────────────── ⚖️ LICENSE RISK WARNING ───────────────────────────────── Flags repositories that have no license, or that use restrictive copyleft licenses such as GPL or AGPL, which may limit how the code can be used commercially. Know the risks before adding a dependency to your project. ───────────────────────────────── 🔒 PRIVACY — YOUR DATA IS SAFE ───────────────────────────────── GitRevamp does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser. The only external network calls made are to: • api.github.com — for repository metadata • api.codetabs.com — for lines of code data • api.osv.dev — for known CVE/vulnerability data Your GitHub Personal Access Token (if you choose to add one) is stored only in Chrome's local storage on your own device and is never sent anywhere else. ───────────────────────────────── ⚙️ SETUP — OPTIONAL GITHUB TOKEN ───────────────────────────────── GitRevamp works immediately after install with zero configuration. If you use GitHub heavily, adding a Personal Access Token (PAT) upgrades your API rate limit from 60 to 5,000 requests per hour. Only public_repo read access is required.
