GitMark
Overview
Edit GitHub Pages, Hugo, and repository Markdown in your browser with live preview, image uploads, and atomic commits.
Edit GitHub Pages and Hugo blog posts directly in your browser, without cloning a repository or opening an IDE. GitMark adds a focused Markdown workflow to GitHub. Open an existing Markdown file or create a new one, write with a live split-pane preview, add images by pasting or dragging them into the editor, and commit everything back to GitHub. Great for: - Updating GitHub Pages content - Writing Hugo and other Markdown-based blog posts - Fixing documentation and README files from any computer - Making quick content changes without a local Git setup Features: - One-click editing from GitHub Markdown pages - Live Markdown preview and formatting tools - Paste, drag, or select local images - One atomic commit for Markdown and pending images - Conflict detection before updating an existing file - English and Chinese interface - Light and dark themes GitMark commits content to your repository. Your existing GitHub Pages or GitHub Actions workflow handles site deployment. For Hugo projects using local images, Hugo leaf bundles are recommended: place the article in `index.md` and keep its images in an `assets` or `images` directory beside it. GitMark has no developer-operated server, analytics, advertising, or tracking. Your GitHub Personal Access Token is stored in Chrome's local extension storage and is sent only to GitHub's official API for actions you request.
