Update: Nov 6th, 2020 Now you can enable this extension on GitHub Enterprise by clicking the Extension icon -> "Enable GitHub Whitespace on this domain".

Small and compact extension, reviewed the extension code less than a minute. Works without any hassles.

OK workaround, but for the use case "hide whitespace by default but allow showing it", this extension doesn't work. The extension ignores trying to show the whitespace changes.
