Translates the GitHub interface into Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

This extension replaces the English interface text on GitHub webpages (navigation, buttons, menus, prompts, and settings items) with Simplified or Traditional Chinese, while keeping code, comments, README files, repository names, usernames, and similar content in their original form. When browsing repositories or working with issues and pull requests, you no longer need to look up English words one by one. 【Why install】 • Covers common pages: more than 30,000 entries each in the Simplified and Traditional Chinese dictionaries, including repositories, issues, pull requests, Actions, settings, notifications, search, and more. • Consistent terminology: terminology is determined with reference to GitHub’s official Chinese documentation and the Chinese edition of Pro Git, with consistent wording across the site, so it matches official documentation. • Traditional Chinese follows local usage: translated directly from English using the wording used in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, rather than a Simplified-to-Traditional character conversion. • Does not modify your content: only interface text is replaced; code, discussion content, and various names remain unchanged to avoid mistranslation. • Chinese as soon as it opens: translations are ready when the page opens; translations also appear after switching pages or when content updates dynamically, with no refresh needed. • No data collection: translations are generated locally, and no data is sent to the developer or any third party. 【Features】 • Automatic language selection: chooses Simplified or Traditional Chinese based on browser language, and can also be set manually; after switching, already-open pages update immediately. • Time localization: relative times and dates are displayed as “3 days ago” and “October 26, 2026.” • Tab titles, input field placeholders, and button tooltips are also replaced. • Popup: master switch, current page status, exclude this page, and toggles for time localization and title translation. • Options page: exclude by path (wildcards supported); add custom entries that take precedence over built-in entries and can be imported and exported. • The extension’s own interface supports Chinese and English, and the appearance can be set to auto, light, or dark. 【Privacy and permissions】 • Runs only on github.com, gist.github.com, and www.githubstatus.com. • In addition to access permissions for the above sites, it requests only two permissions: storage (to save settings and custom entries) and scripting (to load dictionaries). • Settings may sync with your browser account; custom entries are stored only on your local machine.
