gitchop for GitHub
Overview
Press . anywhere on GitHub for your own links and instant repository search, with your organisations first.
gitchop puts the links you actually use on GitHub behind a single keystroke. Press . anywhere on GitHub and the page is chopped open onto your own menu. Type to filter your links, or keep typing to search repositories, including private ones. What rises when you press the dot: Links: your own list, top to bottom. Write {owner}, {repo}, {branch}, {number} or {path} into a URL and it fills in from the page you are on. Pull requests: feedback on yours, the ones waiting on your review, and yours waiting on others. A badge counts them. News: a daily edition of the repositories you follow, a few sentences each, at the hour you choose and up to a week back. Contributions: your count for the year. Private repositories: GitHub's search leaves them out, so gitchop keeps its own index of what your token can reach, on your machine only. Tokens: the fine-grained token form opens with the read-only permissions gitchop needs already ticked. A classic token that can write gets flagged. Backup: optionally connect a secret gist and every change is written there with full revision history. Removing the extension or resetting your profile cannot lose your list. Tokens are never backed up. The chop: pick the colour, the epicness and the speed, or switch the effect off. Every panel can be turned off on its own. Runs only on github.com. Talks only to GitHub. Collects no data. Repository: https://github.com/jeppekroghitk/gitchop
