Gistly: YouTube AI Summary with ChatGPT

I have been using this AI system for over 6 months now, and it does the trick by summarizing videos to help me save time understanding information. I defs want to give kudos to the developers and the team behind Gistly for creating this amazing tool. It's done a stellar job in summarizing and extracting important data points from videos, saving me countless hours across various videos for me to gather crucial points for my own notes.

Scam

Sent me in a loop unable to log in, I checked and reset and allowed every setting, blocker, security permission, everything- could not get it to work on a single video. What made me most angry is that any search on Reddit for help was just a mention to "try gist.ly" and a ton of shiII reviews. If you're going to spam the earth with reviews and suggestions, at least make it work first.

Works great, using it everyday to skim course videos. The free plan is great for now but I'm thinking of upgrading because translations and summarising long videos are premium features. Overall I'd say this is a great tool if you need to watch videos for school, nowadays it's easy to get help of AI to automatically get notes without watching the whole thing.

Worked great, but only did about ~50 min of a 9 hour video. Doesn't permit using API keys from the actual AI providers, and no web link to them either.

I haven't found a way to turn it off for videos that you don't want summarized. This would be especially helpful for the free plan that only gives you 5 summaries a day.

Absolutely brilliant! I wish a tool like this existed a long time ago. Would've saved me countless hours. Much easier to speed-read than speed-listen.
