GingerCat helps you turn useful AI conversations into clean local documents you can keep, search, share, or reuse later. Create a polished PDF when you need a dependable copy for reading, printing, or sharing. Keep an editable DOCX version when the conversation still needs revision. Markdown and plain-text output fit research notes and local knowledge bases. HTML provides a browser-ready archive, while JSON preserves structured conversation data for developer workflows. What it does: - Exports the full chat or AI answers only. - Provides optional cloud destination workflows when you explicitly choose them. - Removes browser and chat UI clutter from the output. - Preserves headings, lists, tables, code blocks, quotes, metadata, and image or attachment references where available. - Uses the provider's chat title for clean filenames. - Works from a compact Chrome toolbar popup. - Uses narrow permissions instead of requesting access to every website. Privacy: Basic exports are processed locally in your browser. We do not upload your chats to our servers and we do not send chat content to third-party analytics or AI services for basic export. On supported AI sites, the extension may read the currently open chat from the page or from the provider's own session APIs to create a complete local export. This data stays between your browser and the original AI provider where the chat already exists; it is not sent to us. The extension sends minimal technical diagnostics events to GingerCat account services to measure installation, popup reliability and user-requested export flows. These events are allowlisted and do not include chat content, prompts, model answers, concrete chat URLs, filenames, document titles, destination page names, email addresses, attachments, images or raw stack traces. Currently optimized for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini web chats.
