Overview

Retune audio and video on any site to 432 Hz, 528 Hz, the solfeggio tones, or any reference pitch you set.

Chosen Hertz retunes the audio playing in your browser to the reference pitch you prefer. Most music is tuned to A = 440 Hz. If you'd rather listen at 432 Hz, at 528 Hz, or at one of the solfeggio tones, this retunes it as it plays. No downloading, no converting, no files to manage. Switch it on, pick a pitch, and every video and track you play is retuned until you switch it off. WHY INSTALL IT Because the alternative is converting files one at a time. This works on what you're already listening to: YouTube, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, podcast players, mixes, anything that plays audio in a normal web page. And because how it does it matters. Chosen Hertz doesn't capture or re-process your audio. It adjusts playback the way a tape machine does, letting the browser's own audio engine do the work. Nothing is rebuilt, so there's no delay, no buffering, and no loss of quality. Many audio extensions degrade what you hear. This one mathematically cannot. At 432 Hz, audio plays 1.82% slower. That's about eleven seconds across a ten-minute track, and most people never notice it. WHAT YOU GET - Presets for 432 Hz, 528 Hz, and the solfeggio tones: 396, 417, 639, 741, 852, 963 - A custom setting for any note at any frequency - Exact figures for every pitch: the shift in cents and the speed change - A per-site switch, so you can leave it off where you don't want it - A status indicator that pulses only while audio is actually being retuned, so you always know whether it's working - Works with the player, not against it. Set YouTube to 1.5x speed and you get 1.5x speed retuned, rather than one overriding the other WHAT IT CAN'T DO Spotify, Apple Music and Netflix use protected audio that no browser extension can reach. This works on ordinary web audio and video. PRIVACY Nothing is collected. No account, no analytics, no tracking. The extension reads no page content and transmits nothing. Your chosen pitch is stored in your browser's own settings. There's also a web version at chosenhertz.app for converting and saving files rather than retuning playback.
