Restates any English video or podcast in simpler English at your level, spoken as it plays, with live captions.

Watch English videos and podcasts made for native speakers, and hear them in simpler English. Restate speaks along as they play, saying the same thing at your level, with live captions. How it works - Click the Restate icon on a tab that is playing audio. A small control appears on the page. - Pick your level: A2, B1 or B2. The voice speaks at that level. - Change the video speed from the control if the original is too fast. - Turn captions or the voice on and off, or move the control anywhere on the page. - Click a word in the captions to see what it means, explained at your level. Where it works YouTube, and other sites that play video or audio in the tab. What you need An access code from VoiceFrom. Enter it once under Options. Your audio While Restate is on, VoiceFrom's server receives the audio of that tab and returns the restated speech and captions. When you click a word, it also receives the captions on screen and returns the explanation. The server keeps none of it, and Restate sends nothing while it is off.
