Ghost Faucet Hoover is a lightweight browser extension designed for users of supported cryptocurrency faucets. It removes selected disruptive advertising elements, recurring overlays, unwanted promotional widgets and known advertising redirects that can make supported faucet pages difficult to use. Its purpose is to keep the legitimate faucet interface readable and accessible while preserving the controls required for normal, manual use. A website not listed above should not be assumed to be fully supported. WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES • Removes selected advertisements and promotional containers on supported faucet pages. • Blocks requests or links to advertising domains confirmed by GMCO rules. • Removes known recurring overlays that obstruct the faucet interface. • Limits unwanted advertising redirects and pop-up attempts. • Preserves legitimate faucet controls and required page elements. • Detects completed claims on supported faucets. • Synchronizes supported claim cooldown timers with the user’s GMCO dashboard. • Displays optional browser notifications when a supported faucet becomes ready again. • Recognizes supported shortlink starts and completion results for dashboard synchronization. • Uses cached protection decisions when the GMCO policy endpoint is temporarily unavailable. • Keeps a small allowlist for services required by legitimate content, including supported YouTube media domains. MANUAL USE ONLY Ghost Faucet Hoover is not a faucet bot and does not automate earning activity. The extension does not: • Click faucet buttons automatically. • Solve or bypass CAPTCHA challenges. • Complete shortlink steps automatically. • Claim cryptocurrency or rewards automatically. • Simulate page views or advertising interactions. • Circumvent anti-fraud, anti-bot or website security systems. • Guarantee that a faucet or shortlink task will be completed. • Modify balances or communicate directly with cryptocurrency wallets. • Mine cryptocurrency. • Request seed phrases, private keys or wallet passwords. Users remain responsible for reviewing each page and completing all faucet, CAPTCHA and shortlink actions manually. PROTECTION RULES Protection decisions are maintained by GMCO and delivered through a restricted HTTPS API. The extension sends a limited list of encountered domain names and receives a simple allow or block decision. Executable JavaScript is not downloaded from the GMCO server. All executable extension code is included in the installed package and can be inspected through Chrome’s extension tools. The public version uses only the free Faucet Hoover protection policy. Protected Shortlink Premium rules are stored separately on GMCO servers and are not included in the Chrome Web Store package or exposed by the public protection endpoint. PRIVACY AND DATA Ghost Faucet Hoover does not sell personal information and does not collect cryptocurrency wallet secrets. Depending on the feature being used, the extension may process: • The hostname of the currently visited page. • Hostnames found in selected advertising elements. • The supported faucet identifier. • A supported shortlink provider and task identifier. • Claim or shortlink status events required to synchronize the GMCO dashboard. • Locally cached domain decisions and protection policy data. • Locally stored pending shortlink context. • Timer information for supported faucets. Website page contents, passwords, seed phrases, private keys and cryptocurrency wallet credentials are not collected by the extension. Dashboard synchronization requires the user to be signed in to their GMCO account. Authentication is handled through the official gmco.me website using the user’s existing browser session. If the user is not signed in, the basic faucet-cleaning functionality can continue, while account-dependent synchronization may be unavailable. PERMISSIONS Storage: Used to cache domain decisions, protection policy information, pending supported shortlink context and extension state. Notifications: Used to notify the user after a detected supported faucet claim and when its configured cooldown has finished. Alarms: Used to schedule local ready-again notifications for supported faucet timers. Website access: Required because advertisements, redirects and obstructive overlays can appear inside page elements and frames on supported faucet and advertising domains. The extension examines relevant URLs and page elements locally to apply its protection rules. GMCO domain access: Used to retrieve protection decisions and synchronize supported timers and shortlink status with the user’s GMCO dashboard. FAIL-SAFE BEHAVIOUR If the GMCO policy service cannot be reached, Ghost Faucet Hoover retains previously cached decisions when available. Unknown domains are not automatically blocked solely because the service is unavailable. During a recognized shortlink flow, protection may be limited to avoid removing page components required for timers, progression, verification or the final reward action. Rules are intentionally conservative. The objective is to reduce disruptive advertising without breaking legitimate faucet functionality. SECURITY Ghost Faucet Hoover is designed to help remove known deceptive overlays, including selected fake browser or security warnings. However, no browser extension can guarantee protection from every malicious website. Never follow a webpage instruction that asks you to: • Open Windows Run, PowerShell, Terminal or Command Prompt. • Copy and execute an unknown command. • Disable antivirus or browser protection. • Install an unknown application or extension. • Reveal a password, private key or recovery phrase. If a page requests any of these actions, close it immediately. GMCO DASHBOARD INTEGRATION Ghost Faucet Hoover integrates with the user’s GMCO dashboard at gmco.me. After a supported faucet claim is detected, the extension can automatically synchronize the faucet’s cooldown timer with the user’s dashboard. The dashboard then tracks when the faucet becomes available again, helping the user see which supported faucets are ready to claim without manually remembering individual cooldown times. Optional browser notifications can also alert the user when a synchronized faucet becomes ready again. Dashboard synchronization requires the user to be signed in to their GMCO account. Faucet claims themselves remain fully manual. AVAILABILITY Websites can change their layouts, domains and advertising systems without notice. A supported integration may temporarily stop working after such a change. GMCO updates its server-side protection decisions and extension code as compatibility issues are confirmed. Ghost Faucet Hoover does not control third-party faucets and is not affiliated with the listed faucet operators unless explicitly stated elsewhere. All website and product names belong to their respective owners. The extension is provided as a usability and safety tool.
