Overview

Silently browse random websites in the background to confuse ad trackers and protect your privacy.

Every website you visit is a data point. Every click, every search, every article you read — ad networks, data brokers, and surveillance platforms are assembling a detailed behavioral profile of you in real time. That profile is sold, shared, and used to manipulate what you buy, what you believe, and what you see online. Ghost Browser fights back — not by hiding you, but by drowning your real profile in noise. While you go about your day, Ghost Browser silently browses thousands of random websites in the background: government pages, university sites, sports teams, museums, religious organizations, nonprofits, brands, health resources, and more. To ad platforms, your profile looks like everything — which means it's useless as a targeting tool. This technique is called **profile poisoning**, and it's one of the most effective ways to reclaim your digital privacy without changing how you browse. **How it works:** Ghost Browser opens background tabs, visits sites from its curated database of 25,000+ URLs, dwells for a realistic amount of time, then closes the tab — and optionally deletes the visit from your Chrome history so it stays invisible. No one can tell the ghost traffic from your real traffic. **Key Features:** - **20,000+ curated URLs** across 10 categories: government, education, museums, religion, brands, sports, nonprofits, health, news, and hobbies - **Configurable intensity** — Low (~50 sites/hr), Medium (~150 sites/hr), or High (~300 sites/hr) - **Adjustable dwell time** — set a realistic min/max range so visits look human - **Schedule mode** — run only during off-hours (e.g. 10 PM – 7 AM) so it never slows your machine while you work - **Auto-clear history** — ghost visits are automatically deleted from Chrome history, leaving no trace - **Only-when-idle mode** — Ghost Browser pauses the moment you start using Chrome, so it never interferes with your real browsing - **Custom URL upload** — add your own sites to the rotation - **Live status widget** — a subtle floating badge shows you ghost activity without interrupting your workflow - **True randomness** — Fisher-Yates shuffle ensures full coverage across all 25K URLs before repeating **100% local. No servers. No accounts. No data collection.** Ghost Browser never phones home. All settings and stats are stored locally on your device. We collect nothing, transmit nothing, and track nothing. **Why not just use incognito?** Incognito mode hides your history from people who share your computer — but it does nothing to stop Google, Facebook, ad networks, and data brokers from building a profile on you. They track you by IP address, browser fingerprint, device ID, and behavioral patterns. Ghost Browser attacks the profile itself, filling it with so much noise that targeting you becomes impossible. If you care about online privacy, hate personalized ads, want to confuse data brokers, or simply believe your browsing behavior is your own business — Ghost Browser is for you. privacy chrome extension, ad profile blocker, browsing history cleaner, anti tracking extension, data broker protection, behavioral profiling, tracker blocker, incognito alternative, browser fingerprint protection, ad tracking blocker By Patrick Bushe - https://bushe.co
