See prices in a currency you understand while keeping the original amounts visible. Currency Lens reads website text locally to find currency-marked prices and displays approximate conversions beside them. Page content and detected prices stay on your device and are not sent to Socialbug Apps LLC or the rate provider. Conversion starts only after you enable it in the popup. FEATURES • Choose your preferred currency from the available exchange-rate table. • Keep original prices visible alongside converted amounts. • Convert supported prices added or changed while you browse. • Choose how ambiguous $ and ¥ symbols should be interpreted. • Apply currency choices with Save settings. • Toggle conversion on or off immediately. • Use cached rates when the provider cannot be reached. GET STARTED 1. Open Currency Lens from Chrome’s Extensions menu. 2. Read the disclosure and enable Convert website prices. 3. Choose your target currency, optionally choose a source for ambiguous symbols, and click Save settings. 4. Reload tabs that were open before installation. RATES AND LIMITATIONS Frankfurter supplies daily reference rates. Currency Lens checks hourly and offers a manual refresh button. Conversions are approximate, not live market rates or guaranteed checkout prices. Banks and merchants may apply different rates or fees. Hover over a conversion to inspect its reference dates. Not every website or price format is supported. Prices in images, canvas, shadow roots, or split across HTML elements are not recognized. Browser internal pages and the Chrome Web Store restrict extensions. Plain numbers without currency markers are skipped. The source-currency selection applies globally. PRIVACY Website text is processed locally for price detection. Preferences and exchange-rate data are stored locally in Chrome. The extension fetches a reference-rate table over HTTPS from Frankfurter without sending page URLs, page text, detected prices or selected currencies. The provider and its network infrastructure receive ordinary connection metadata such as your IP address. There is no advertising, analytics, account login or sale of user data in the extension.
