Speechise reads the web aloud. Open any article, PDF or paste your own text, press play, and listen to natural-sounding speech in the side panel while you keep browsing. HOW IT WORKS - Click the Speechise icon to open the side panel. - Press "Read this page" to listen to the article you are viewing, open a PDF in Chrome and read it, or paste any text. - The text is read sentence by sentence and the sentence being spoken is highlighted so you can follow along. - Pick the language and voice you like, or let Speechise detect the language automatically. FEATURES - Listen to web pages, PDFs and pasted text - Natural-sounding voices in many languages - Automatic language detection - Sentence-by-sentence playback with highlighting - Works in the side panel; audio keeps playing while you work in other tabs FREE AND PAID Free use is limited to 500 characters per request. PRIVACY Speechise reads a page only when you ask it to by clicking "Read this page". The text you choose to read is sent to the Speechise service to be turned into speech. There are no ads and no tracking in the extension. Allowing access to all sites is optional.
