MorrowTab: Links & Calendar

A synced new-tab homepage for organized links, calendar boards, search, and daily quotes.

MorrowTab turns Chrome's new-tab page into an organized workspace for links, read-only calendars and search. DATA AND PRIVACY AT A GLANCE Browser Sync is the default and uses the Chrome profile you are already signed into. If you request optional FixQuotes Sync, the email address you enter is sent to FixQuotes and Mailgun to deliver and verify a one-use sign-in code. No board data is uploaded until you review the disclosure and press Connect. After that, FixQuotes stores a server-readable copy containing board and column names, saved link titles and addresses, search templates, settings, click counts, private calendar-feed addresses and sync metadata. Cloudflare routes and protects the API and can process request payloads and ordinary network metadata in transit. Transfers use HTTPS, but FixQuotes Sync is not end-to-end encrypted. See the linked privacy policy for recipients, retention and deletion. ORGANIZE LINKS AROUND YOUR LIFE Create separate boards for work, school, personal use or other projects. Group links into columns, rearrange them with drag and drop, open a whole column at once, and use the toolbar button to save the page you are visiting. SEE YOUR CALENDARS TOGETHER Add Google, Microsoft or other compatible iCalendar subscription addresses to a read-only calendar board. View events in Agenda, Week or Month layouts, assign colors, hide individual calendars and open supported events in their original calendar. MorrowTab never creates or edits calendar events. SEARCH YOUR WAY Chrome's configured search provider is always available. You can also add board-specific search-address templates for the sites and tools you use. Search suggestions are saved only on the current computer and can be disabled or cleared. SYNC YOUR WAY Browser Sync is the default and uses the Chrome profile you are already signed into. Optional FixQuotes Sync uses a verified email address and stores a server-readable copy of the boards you explicitly connect, allowing more storage and Chrome-to-Edge syncing. MorrowTab adds no application-level encryption to Browser Sync, and FixQuotes Sync is not end-to-end encrypted. OPTIONAL WORKFLOW TOOLS Set an auto-close time on links that open in a new tab. MorrowTab checks only tabs that it opened and defers closing tabs that are active, playing audio or still loading. On Zoom recording pages whose address matches https://*.zoom.us/rec/*, MorrowTab adds an overlay listing direct HTTPS recording files exposed in the loaded page. The user must already be able to load that page. The overlay does not check Zoom's owner-controlled Download setting and does not handle streaming-only media. The Zoom page title and media addresses stay on the page and are not stored, synced or sent to FixQuotes. DAILY QUOTES, PHOTOS AND WEBSITE ICONS Choose a daily FixQuotes quote, an optional Pexels nature background, or turn those features off. Missing website icons can be requested from FixQuotes using only the saved hostname; this can also be disabled. PRIVACY MorrowTab has no ads, analytics or advertising trackers and does not sell user data. It contacts only the fixed services and user-approved addresses described in its privacy policy. Optional permissions are requested only when you enable the related feature.
