Double Subtitles

)Overview
Show subtitles in two languages at once on Netflix, choose the language, and hide/show subtitles with a hotkey.
Watch Netflix with subtitles in two languages at once — perfect for learning a language or watching together with someone who speaks another one. Double Subtitles draws two subtitle lines over the video: your main language on top and a second language (smaller, in yellow) right below it. Both are perfectly in sync with the picture. Missed a line? Pause the video and the last 5 subtitles appear on the left, with their translations. Want to look up a word or save a phrase? Every line has a copy button. FEATURES • Two languages at once — for example English + Ukrainian, Spanish + English, Japanese + English. • Choose any subtitle language the title offers, for both lines. • Hide / show subtitles with one key (C by default). • Turn the second language on / off with one key (T by default). • Pause history: when you pause, the last 5 subtitles are shown on the left side of the video, together with the second language. • Copy button next to every subtitle line — paste it into a dictionary, a translator or your vocabulary list. • Set your own hotkeys, including combinations with Ctrl, Alt or Shift. • Adjust the text size. • Delay setting to fix subtitles that are out of sync. • Works in fullscreen. • Your choice is remembered for the next episodes and titles. • Interface in English, Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian and German. HOW TO USE 1. Start playing a title on Netflix. 2. Click the Double Subtitles icon in the toolbar (pin it via the puzzle-piece menu). 3. Choose the mode: • Netflix's own subtitles — Netflix draws the subtitles; the hotkey and the pause history still work. • One language — the extension draws subtitles in the chosen language. • Two languages — main language on top, second language below. 4. Pick the main and second language. "On this video" lists the languages the current title really has. 5. Turn "Show last 5 subtitles on pause" and "Copy button next to each line" on or off as you like (both are on by default). When you pick a new language, the extension briefly switches Netflix to that subtitle track to load it and then switches back to your own choice. This happens once per language per episode. The same happens for the pause history if Netflix's own subtitles are turned off: the extension then loads your main language. PRIVACY • No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no analytics. • Nothing is sent anywhere: subtitles are read from what the Netflix player already downloads, and everything stays in your browser. • The clipboard is only written when you click a copy button, and never read. • The only permission is "storage", used to remember your settings. • Runs only on netflix.com. NOTES • A Netflix subscription is required. • Image-based subtitles (used for some languages) are not supported. • If Netflix changes its player, an update of the extension may be needed. Double Subtitles is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netflix, Inc. Netflix is a trademark of Netflix, Inc. ## What's new in 1.1.0 For your own release notes; the store has no changelog field, but the new features are also listed in the description below. - Interface in Ukrainian, Polish, Romanian and German (plus English); it follows the browser's language. - Pause history: when the video is paused, the last 5 subtitles are shown on the left side of the picture, with the translation under each line in two-language mode.
