FBSave - Download Video Facebook

Pick the video quality in Chrome's side panel while you keep scrolling Facebook, then save Reels, videos and photos.

FBSave is a Facebook downloader whose controls live in Chrome's side panel rather than on the page. The panel docks beside the feed, lists what FBSave detected on the item currently on screen together with the qualities available for it, and waits for your choice before a single byte is written. What you pick arrives in your Downloads folder as MP4 or JPG. ## Features - The side panel is the interface: it sits next to Facebook instead of covering it, so the post, its comments and the video itself remain usable while a job runs. - Each entry in the panel's quality list is a rendition the page actually exposed - you weigh file size against resolution yourself, before committing. - The panel comes back with the quality and filename preferences from your previous visit, held in local storage. - A compact FBSave button also sits on the item, for the times you would rather begin there than at the toolbar icon. - Feed videos, Reels, Watch pages, Stories and photo posts are all recognised without any setting to change. - Whole albums can be sent through as one bulk run, so a gallery does not have to be clicked through picture by picture. - Video comes out as MP4 and photos as JPG; where Facebook splits a clip into an audio track and a video track, the packaged ffmpeg WebAssembly build stitches them back together on your computer. ## Supported platforms Facebook only - facebook.com, web.facebook.com and m.facebook.com. Open any other site and FBSave stays completely idle. ## How to use 1. Open a Facebook post, Reel or video in Chrome. 2. Click the FBSave icon in the toolbar to bring up the side panel on the right. 3. Read the list of qualities in the panel and select the one that suits you. 4. Press save and carry on with the feed; the finished file appears in Downloads. ## Privacy Everything FBSave does happens locally in the browser, and no user data is sent to any server. You never create an account or sign up, and there is no tracking and no analytics; the few preferences the panel remembers are stored locally in the browser and nowhere else. Merging an audio track with a video track is done on your own machine by the bundled ffmpeg WebAssembly module, so no media is uploaded for processing.
