GeoWeb Intelligence
Overview
Passively collect and log geographic and infrastructure metadata about websites.
GeoWeb Intelligence is a lightweight browser extension (Manifest V3) designed to provide users with transparent insights into the geographic and technical infrastructure of the websites they visit. It empowers users to understand where their data is being sent and identify regional restrictions (geo-blocking) through a multi-layered detection system. Passive Infrastructure Logging: Monitor server IPs, CDN providers, and response headers in real-time. Multi-Layered Geo-blocking Detection: Content Analysis: Scans page text and Shadow DOM for regional restriction indicators. Network Patterns: Detects regional redirects (e.g., .com to .co.uk) and location-based query parameters. HTTP Status Monitoring: Flags codes like 451 Unavailable For Legal Reasons. Header Inspection: Identifies CDN-specific geo-headers from Cloudflare, CloudFront, and Akamai. Privacy-First Design: All collection is user-initiated via a toggle. Data is stored locally on your device and can be cleared at any time. Data Portability: Export your session logs to a categorized CSV format for further research or debugging.
