GeoMute for X
Overview
Local-first country signal badges and feed filters for X/Twitter.
GeoMute for X adds local-first country signal badges and feed filters to X/Twitter. It helps you understand and control country-based signals in your timeline without accounts, analytics, tracking, or a backend. GeoMute can show country badges beside authors, dim, blur, or hide posts from selected countries, and let you manage muted countries from a compact map-based control panel. Country signals come from manual overrides, cached local results, visible X profile location text, and optional public profile lookups. Results are best-effort and should be treated as signals, not claims about nationality, citizenship, ethnicity, or exact location. Features: - Country badges for known accounts - Mute countries from a world map - Dim, blur, or hide matching posts - Manual per-handle country overrides - Optional unknown-country filtering - Optional profile lookup for better detection - Local cache controls - Import/export settings - No analytics, no ads, no tracking GeoMute stores settings locally in your browser using Chrome storage. It does not sell data, track browsing behavior, or send your data to a GeoMute server.
