GenSpend Tracker captures AI-generation events the moment you press "Generate" and turns them into a unified, real-time spend dashboard. WHAT IT TRACKS GenSpend works across the AI creative tools you already use — image, video, music, and voice generators — capturing each generation as it happens and attributing its cost to the right workflow, project, or client. Coverage expands continuously; the exact supported sites are declared in this extension's host permissions. WHY GENSPEND EXISTS Producers and small studios burn through hundreds of dollars per month on AI-generation credits without ever knowing which workflow, vendor, or project drove the spend. Vendor dashboards each show their own slice; nobody shows the full picture. GenSpend Tracker stitches it together automatically — and feeds a unified dashboard at genspend.synthden.ai. HOW IT WORKS When you generate on a supported vendor site, the vendor's frontend sends requests to its own backend. This extension observes those requests, records the generation parameters, prices the event in its service worker, and POSTs the result to the backend URL you configure (default: https://genspend.synthden.ai/api/track). WHAT IT CAPTURES - The request URL and form/JSON parameters (model name, mode, scale factor, duration, etc.) - Generation cost and credit fields returned by the vendor (e.g. credits used, task IDs), used to price each event - Image input dimensions for upload-based generations - A timestamp and the vendor host WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - It does not modify, block, or redirect any requests — it only observes. - It does not capture image, video, audio, or other binary content. - It does not transmit data anywhere except the backend URL you configure. - It does not run on any site outside the declared host list. - It does not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, cookies, or password fields — these are redacted before anything is sent. CONNECT IN UNDER A MINUTE 1. Install the extension and pin it. 2. During GenSpend onboarding (or in your GenSpend Settings page), generate a connection token. 3. Click the icon, open Options, and paste the token. 4. Save — the extension checks in with your account automatically. (You can also click "Test connection" to confirm.) WHO IT'S FOR - Solo producers tracking their own AI spend. - Small studios billing clients for AI-generation work. - Anyone who wants a single ledger of what they generated, where, and what it cost. The short version: the extension reads request metadata on declared sites, redacts secrets, and POSTs it to one backend URL you configure. Nothing else. A scripting permission is used only to sync your account on already-open genspend.synthden.ai tabs after install — never on vendor pages.
