Overview
Shopify & ecommerce news, case studies with real numbers and AI updates in every new tab. For DTC brand owners. Free, no account.
Open a new tab. Read the one thing worth reading today. GemNews turns your Chrome new tab into a daily ecommerce briefing for people running Shopify and DTC stores — what changed this week, what it costs you, and what to do about it. FREE, NO ACCOUNT NEEDED • Hot News: short reports on what merchants are arguing about right now, such as platform releases, agentic checkout, AI search and ad costs. Each one is written by AI from public posts and reviewed by an editor before it goes out, and it says so on the page. It also says how many source posts it was built from and links to the article page with every source. Read the whole thing inside the tab. • Case Studies: one real store at a time, with the numbers before and after (conversion rate, revenue, AOV, ROAS), what they changed to get there, and a link to where the numbers were first published. • Articles: long pieces on CRO, conversion teardowns, AI storefronts, tools and experiments run on real stores. FOR GEMCOMMUNITY MEMBERS • AI Workflows: build logs from real work: what the job was, which tools, how long it took. • Live sessions: upcoming AMAs, teardowns, coffee chats. WHO IT IS FOR Store owners, ecommerce operators, CRO and growth people, and the agencies and freelancers who build storefronts for them. If your day is product pages, checkout and ad spend, this is your tab. Locked pieces still show up. You get the title, the opening lines fading out, and one clear sentence about what opens them: sign in, reach a level, or a paid plan. No silent padlocks. THREE LANGUAGES Interface and article text in English, Vietnamese and Chinese. On first install the extension follows your browser language; switch any time from the account menu at the top right. Machine-translated articles say so, and link back to the original. PRIVACY The extension gets its briefing from community.gemboss.ai and loads cover images from that server's image storage. The Feedback button loads its form from GemBoss's feedback service, feedback.gemboss.ai, and sends your answer there only when you press Send; with a connected account the answer carries your account name, email, account ID and membership status. What you type in its search box is sent there to search the community, and if you connect an account, your starred items sync to it. Once a day it also sends a random install ID with its version, languages and the channel that led to the install (for example a search engine or a shared link), so we can count how many installs are in use and where they come from; it is never linked to your account. It does not read, write, or track any page you browse: it has no permission to touch any page other than its own new tab. No ads, no third-party trackers, no data sold. Full policy: https://community.gemboss.ai/ext/privacy A GemCommunity account is needed for the member sections. Hot News, Case Studies and Articles are not. Works in Chrome, Edge and Brave. In browsers that lock the new tab (Comet, Arc), click the toolbar icon to open it. GemNews was called GemCommunity News until October 2026.
