Overview

Route selected web traffic through a proxy node in the exit country you choose.

Waypoint Proxy is a browser proxy client. Sign in once with the access key or subscription link from your provider, press Connect, and selected traffic goes through the service's proxy node in the country you need. There is no separate app and no system setup: the extension is all you install. Selective routing Not everything goes through the node. Routing rules come from the service and are applied inside the browser: listed sites go through the proxy node, while banking, government and everyday sites keep your own direct connection. Rules update within half a minute, without reinstalling anything. Automatic and manual modes In automatic mode the country is picked per site. When you open a regional site from the service's list — a site that verifies your region — the extension switches to the exit country that site expects, reloads it, and can report the outcome so the country rules stay correct. This per-site country refinement is optional and delivered by the service: it stays inactive until the service sends its configuration. In manual mode you pick one country and the whole browser goes through it, except banking and government sites. What stays protected While connected, WebRTC is kept from exposing your real IP address around the proxy, and the previous setting is restored when you disconnect. If another tunnel or proxy app on the computer intercepts browser traffic, the extension warns you. If a node goes down, it switches to a backup node. What is sent to the service To keep the per-country rules correct, the extension can report the outcome of opening a target request on the regional sites from the service's list: a resource identifier, the site and target host names (host names only), the request mode, the HTTP status, the refusal code if there was one, the exit country used and a random report ID. Reports are linked to your account. The extension never sends full page addresses, cookies or page text. Details are in the privacy policy. Usage at a glance The popup shows the ping to the proxy node and, if your plan has a traffic limit, how much traffic is used and when the counter resets. When the limit is reached, the extension says so and shows when access returns. Requirements An access key or subscription link from your provider. Without it the extension shows only the sign-in screen. The interface is available in English and Russian.
