Gemini VSCode Theme
Overview
Beta. Apply VS Code-style coding themes to Gemini.
Transform Gemini into a VS Code-like coding environment. Gemini VSCode Theme brings the familiar look and feel of Visual Studio Code to Google Gemini — complete with syntax highlighting, line numbers, a file explorer sidebar, and an integrated terminal-style input. Features: • VS Code Dark+ theme — the same color palette and styling you know from VS Code • Syntax highlighting — powered by Prism.js for Python, TypeScript, JSX, TSX, Bash, JSON, Markdown, and more • Line numbers — automatic gutter numbering for all code blocks • Activity bar & sidebar — Gemini's navigation restyled as a VS Code file explorer with Seti file icons • Status bar — a familiar bottom bar just like VS Code • Title bar — clean, minimal header matching VS Code's look • Monospace fonts — JetBrains Mono for code, Noto Sans KR for text • Terminal-style input — the chat input area styled as an integrated terminal with a prompt indicator Python Mode (optional): Turn your Gemini chat into a Jupyter notebook-like experience. Each conversation gets a language logo icon (Simple Icons) in the chat history, and messages are styled as notebook cells. How to use: Install the extension Open Gemini (gemini.google.com) Click the extension icon to toggle the theme on/off Refresh the tab for the best experience Notes: • Currently supports Gemini only (more platforms planned) • VS Code Dark+ is the default theme (more themes coming soon) • Works with both English and Korean Gemini interfaces
