Gemini Media Download Helper is a browser extension that helps you save supported image and video files that are already available in your Gemini conversations. When Gemini displays generated media in a model response, the extension detects eligible resources on the current page and provides clear download controls. You can download an individual image or video, or save all supported media from the latest response with a batch download. Designed for a clear and efficient workflow The extension adds download actions only to supported media found in Gemini model responses. It helps you save assets without taking screenshots, manually cropping browser interface elements, or repeatedly opening files one by one. For image and video downloads, the extension uses the resource that is already available on the current Gemini page whenever possible. Batch downloads follow the order of media displayed in the response. If a resource is still loading, has expired, or cannot be accessed by the browser, the extension provides a safe failure state so you can refresh the Gemini page and try again. Privacy and local processing Media detection, filename generation, download settings, and local history are handled in your browser. The extension does not upload images, videos, prompts, conversation content, cookies, account information, or access tokens to a developer server. It does not create a cloud account, analytics profile, or remote media library. Permissions are limited to the functionality required to save user-initiated downloads and store local settings and download history. Important transparency notice This extension downloads only resources that Gemini has already made available on the current page and that you are authorized to access. It does not use private APIs and does not bypass sign-in, regional availability, quotas, payment requirements, or access controls. “Original download” means that browser interface elements, chat borders, buttons, player controls, and other page overlays are not included in the saved file. It does not mean that visible marks already embedded in the source image or video will be removed. The extension does not remove, alter, bypass, or modify SynthID, metadata, visible watermarks embedded in source files, or other provenance information.
