It automatically collects all visible Gemini images in a chat and saves them into an organized folder in your Downloads 📁. Open any Google Gemini AI conversation on https://gemini.google.com/ 2. Click “Save Images” on the floating Gemini Image Downloader control 3. The extension scans the conversation for Gemini-generated images 4. Watch the download progress; retry appears automatically if any Gemini image fails Storage 💾 Images are saved locally to: Downloads/{folder-name}/{index}.png The folder name is based on your custom name or the parsed Gemini conversation ID, making it easy to organize AI-generated images from Google Gemini, image generation experiments, and Nano Banana-style prompts. High-resolution image limitation (important) ⚠️ At the moment, Google Gemini generates the final “full-resolution” images using a download flow that is intentionally isolated from the page 🔒. Because of this, the extension currently saves the highest resolution that is directly accessible from the conversation view, which is typically the medium-size image. I spent an unreasonable amount of time testing multiple approaches — hover-based extraction, button click automation, download interception, DOM scraping, and direct asset URL discovery . Unfortunately, the true full-resolution file is generated and delivered in a way that browser extensions cannot reliably hook into without breaking Chrome security rules. I’m actively researching cleaner and more reliable ways to access the original high-resolution Gemini images without violating Chrome extension policies 🔍. Once a working solution is found, it will be shipped immediately as an update 📦.
