Local PDF Toolkit does the everyday PDF jobs — merge, split, extract pages, rotate, compress — without ever sending your file anywhere. Every other PDF tool uploads your document to a server. That is how they work: you hand over the file, their machine does the job, you download the result. For a holiday photo that is fine. For a contract, a payslip, a medical letter, an invoice or anything with a client's name on it, it means handing a third party a copy. This extension does the work inside your browser. There is no server, no account, no sign-up, and no network access of any kind. You do not have to take that on trust: • Press F12, open the Network tab, run any operation — nothing is sent, because nothing can be. • The extension requests NO permissions and NO site access. WHAT IT DOES • Merge — combine PDFs in any order • Split / extract — pull out pages or ranges like 1-3, 8, 12-14 • Rotate — 90° at a time, all pages or chosen ones • Compress — make files smaller IT ALSO TELLS YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR FILE Most PDF tools quietly damage things. This one warns you first: • Dynamic (XFA) forms — the kind tax offices and government agencies use — get flattened by nearly every PDF tool, silently. You get told before it happens. • Permission-protected PDFs are detected and reported, not crashed on and not quietly stripped. • Compression never returns a file BIGGER than the one you gave it. That sounds obvious; the usual approach inflates some PDFs by up to 107%, and plenty of tools ship it anyway. FREE AND PAID Every tool is free, on files of any size, one file at a time.
