Doko-Hosting is a Chrome extension that answers “Where is this site hosted?” in one click. It checks public DNS and WHOIS information for the current website and shows likely providers for hosting, CDN delivery, mail, and nameservers. 【Useful when】 ◆Taking over a website Even if nobody documented where a site is hosted, Doko-Hosting gives you a practical starting point from the domain alone. It helps with handoff, migration, and investigation work. ◆Checking competitors or client infrastructure Built-in detection patterns estimate commonly used rental servers, cloud platforms, CDNs, and hosting services. ◆Checking mail hosting at the same time The popup also shows whether mail is likely hosted by a major groupware or mail service. ◆Finding where DNS is managed Nameserver detection helps you find where the domain’s DNS is likely managed, which is useful before transfers or DNS changes. 【Data handling】 Detection runs in your browser using public DNS and WHOIS information. The extension does not send visited URLs or detection results to the developer’s server. It does not track browsing history, run analytics, or show ads. For DNS lookups, the target domain is sent to Google Public DNS (dns.google). When checking IP registration data, the relevant IP address may be sent to RIPE NCC (stat.ripe.net). The extension may also contact Google’s favicon service to show service icons. None of this is sent to the developer’s server. 【Notes】 This is an unofficial tool.
